About the Artist

Ralph Berko started painting at the age of 18. He developed his style of Geometric Hardedge at California State University Northridge. He later went on the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. He has shown in many galleries in California; including The Richard Mann Gallery, The Creative Gallery, Leo Duval Design Gallery, The Swanson Gallery in San Francisco, and is also a member of the Los Angeles Art Association. His artwork is displayed in the collections of Kathy & Paris Hilton, Frank Zappa, Arsenio Hall ,Bank of America S.F., Levi Strauss, and Cedars Sinai Medical Center.I also have international collectors in Vienna, Austria, Sydney, Australia, and Bangkok, Thailand.
I am an abstract, geometric painter. I map out my paintings with precise symmetry and a creative imagination. Creating three-dimensional designs on a two-dimensional surface, I am able to fascinate the viewer with a sense of movement and illusion. Geometric Hardedge Art, with its rich tradition, continues to find its admirers and certainly I am one for whom the style holds sufficient meaning.
Painted from an inventive pallet, some of my artwork is mono-chromatic while others are multicolored and very visual. Painting with the hardedge technique, I achieve my optical effects. Distinguished by my optical effects of movement and space, I try to stir the viewers mind, and imagination.
